After the Square-Enix's "Final Fantasy VII" remake for PlayStation 4 announcement during E3 2015, an ensemble of "Final Fantasy VII" fanatics based in Singapore recently released their own version that has a playable demo.

"FFVII: Re-Imagine's" 2D, side-scrolling, in-browser game's short sample will let you play as either Cloud Strife or Tifa Lockheart with Barret Wallace nearby to back you up as you traverse a charging blue bar, Game Informer reported. Midgar wasteland also provides the fitting backdrop for the game with its hues of blues, greens and grays.

The multiplayer "FFVII: Re-Imagine" game is also available if you can attach a spare controller on your keyboard.

In their official website, PD Design Studio said they re-imagined how "Final Fantasy VII" would be like if it was an action game and Classic 2D side-scrollers such as "Dragons and Dungeons: Chronicles of Mystara" and "Streets of Rage" came to their minds. They also stated that "FFVII: Re-Imagine" project will be released to the public for free because they are not after the profit and claimed that they recreated the game for purely fun and their love for it.

Early in 2014, PD Design Studio released "Dusty's Revenge on Steam," also a scrolling game, and is currently working on its prequel story, "Dusty Raging Fist."

PD Design Studio's Facebook page also posted that they are almost done with the "FFVII: Re-Imagine" project as of Aug. 13.
