"Switched At Birth" season 4 episode 11 focused on Daphne being thrilled about a new romance while Bay is still grieving over her breakup with Daphne's longtime friend Emmett (Sean Berdy). The episode also featured Toby (Lucas Grabeel), Lily , who is Toby's now ex-girlfriend, Regina (Constance Marie), Eric (Terrell Tilford), Mingo, Melody (Marlee Matlin) and Travis (Ryan Lane).

The season 4B started with Daphne is all excited with her blooming relationship with Mingo. Her friends, however, point out that Mingo is a womanizer. Bay, who is still feeling terrible over her break-up with Emmett, decided to accompany Daphne and Mingo to the club where Toby is playing a DJ set. Travis is also present at the club who tells Bay to let loose on the dance floor to shake off Emmett from her mind.

As soon as she hits the dance floor, Bay is again hit by hallucination and visions of Emmett making out with Skye. Later she pays a visit to Melody on whom she vents out her anger and frustration.

Meanwhile, Travis and Iris continue to express their disgust against Mingo after which Daphne also started seeing him in a different light.

Regina, in her effort to get past Eric's mysterious background, gets to know that he has a criminal past after which she confronts him. Eric tells Regina that his ex was a drug addict and he illegally took his son away from her in order to give him a better life.

Lily is pregnant and Toby, who does not want to talk to her after their break-up in the last season, does not know about it. In the last 20 seconds of the drama-packed episode, it was revealed that the baby is diagnosed with Down syndrome.
