"What Do You Mean" is a song about sorrow and confusion in love and break-up. Bieber exudes a more mature and serious vibe. The song is the lead single of Bieber's fourth album, which comes out in September.

Earlier in August, Bieber talked about his upcoming release at the iHeartMedia Music Summit. He confessed having a couple of rough years. In this comeback, Bieber promises to be stronger. "It's going to be a great next chapter for me," he said.

Bieber also warned his haters. "I think people want to see me fail. I've been working my hardest to not let that happen," he said. "I'm still that same kid that you guys met a long time ago. I want you guys to take this journey with me."

In 2014, Bieber announced that he will be taking some time away from the public for a special reason, which he will announce in time. The heartthrob released his third studio album "Believe" in 2012 and his second compilation "Journals" in December 2013. After which, the star had not released a solo album, although he took parts in some collaborations, Stuff reported.
