Last season's fifth placers Tottenham Hotspur FC continues to seek its first win of the 2015-2016 Premier League season in this match against Everton FC, who surprisingly have had a decent start in this year's competitions.

Everton's 3-0 victory against Southampton during the second week was an indication that Roberto Martínez's squad is here to give the perennial top contenders a challenge that they will not expect.

The Toffees fell to Manchester City, 0-2, last Sunday but they did not allow Manuel Pellegrini's scoring duo of Yaya Touré and Raheem Sterling to put any points on the board as they were beaten by goals from the Citizen's defenders.

Meanwhile, the Spurs are struggling in their first three games, opening their season with a 0-1 loss to Manchester United, then a 2-2 draw against lowly team Stoke City, and finally another draw with Leicester City last Saturday.

Mauricio Pochettino's boys will have a shot for a victory against Everton this weekend and they would have to make it count if they want to start making noise this year.

The Spurs won the two teams' most recent meeting, 1-0, during last season's final match day at the Goodison Park.
