Week 2 of the 2015-2016 La Liga season carries on with a clash between defending champions FC Barcelona and Malaga CF at the former's home field of Camp Nou on Saturday.
While oddsmakers put Barça as the heavy favorite to win this match, it should be noted that Los Boquerones pulled off a shocking 1-0 road win over Lionel Messi and the Catalonian giants in February this year.
Barcelona has actually not beaten Malaga in their last two meetings as they settled for a goalless draw in September 2014 at La Rosaleda.
This means that Luis Enrique and his gang should not take Javi Gracia's boys lightly, especially since they are playing without three key starters. Dani Alves, Sergio Busquets, and one-third of their Big Three, Neymar Jr., are still unavailable in this match while still nursing separate injuries.
Barça has been almost unbeatable at Camp Nou, winning all but 11 of its games there in history. Yet the memory of their 11th loss was still quite fresh for Enrique and Messi not to take this match seriously.
Malaga drew Sevilla, 0-0, in their opener last Friday while Barça escaped with a 1-0 victory over Athletic Bilbao on Sunday via a Luis Suárez winner.
