Two undefeated clubs FC Bayern Munich vs Bayer 04 Leverkusen face each other on a Saturday afternoon match at the Allianz Arena as the 2015-2016 Bundesliga season continues. Both teams currently have six points in the overall standings as they opened their stints with two straight victories each.
The Bavarians routed Hamburger SV, 5-0, in the opening game of the season then outlasted 1899 Hoffenheim, 2-1, last Friday to stay unbeaten. Meanwhile, Bayer also beat Hoffenheim, 2-1, in their opener then followed it up with a 1-0 victory over Hannover 96 also on Friday.
Pep Guardiola's squad remains to be the favorite to repeat as champions in this year's edition of the German league and their performance have so far left no doubt about that.
There were rumors that their superstar striker Thomas Müller is on his way to England to join his former teammate Bastian Schweinsteiger as Manchester United made a huge £71.9 million bid for the German.
However, team officials are firm that the 25-year-old winger is not for sale and will continue to play for Bayern for years to come.
Meanwhile, Roger Schmidt's team is also having a stellar beginning to the young season. He will continue to rely on midfielders Hakan Çalhanoğlu, Karim Bellarabi, and Julian Brandt in scoring.
However, Bayer's South Koren midfielder, Son Heung-min, is rumored to be transferred to the English Premiere League club Tottenham Hotspur.
Bayer Leverkusen won their most recent match with the Bavarians, 2-0, in a Bundesliga match in February of this year.
