When "The Blacklist" season 3 comes back on Oct. 1, viewers should anticipate something new particularly concerning Elizabeth "Liz" Keen (Megan Boone) and Raymond "Red" Reddington (James Spader) who are literally on the run.

Liz is on top of the FBI's most wanted fugitives, which is a total change from her usual role of working as an FBI profiler in the previous seasons. Movie Pilot outlines some incidences that occurred in season 2, giving a hint about what may happen in the upcoming season. One of the events is Liz's name being marred by Cabal for killing Senator Hawkins.

Liz then shoots Tom Connolly and runs away with Reddington as she is haunted by bitter memories. Initially, Liz had killed her father while defending her mother, Russian spy Katarina Rostova. Reportedly, Rostova is alive and may appear in season 3 to uncover some secrets.

Boone confirmed that fans will be seeing something new in the next season. She said, "Season 3 is going to be the same characters but a different show, a very different topic. Because now, Liz keen is no longer working within the law."

Given that Connolly is dead, there will be new character featuring in the film playing the villain, Entertainment Weekly reported. Edi Gathegi, "X-Men: First Class" star will reprise the role of Mr. Solomon, allegedly in charge of Cabal's dirty work. Mr. Solomon is perceivably soft-spoken and admirable from the outlook but really creepy and violent on the inside.

NBC's official synopsis also revealed that the first episode of "The Blacklist" will feature an undercover CIA analyst. In the episode titled "The Troll Farmer," the agent who is always at his desk will try to stop global calamity by infiltrating the treacherous organization of weaponry dealership.
