I can't estimate how many hours of my life I've wasted playing with noobs on DotA 2. Granted I'm not exactly a pro myself, but still, noobs have caused countless nights of DotA displeasure and I'm about to list down the reasons why.

While DotA 2 is undoubtedly an enjoyable experience for the most part, there are moments when you'd swear to yourself never to play this game again.

PUB games put random people together and at this level of uncertainty, you are bound to be stuck playing with an obnoxious newbie more often than not.

Although we were all noobs at one point, here are some of the things that really suck about playing with noobs.

Noobs are mentally weak

Ever get teamed up with a guy who likes to talk a lot of smack?

There are some players out there that talk more smack than they actually play, and you get the sense that if they would only focus on the game instead of resorting to blame and insults, they would have performed much better than they actually had.

Things don't often go as planned in the early game, and noobs are quickly discouraged. After the first turn of the game against their favor, noobs will have already quit mentally, if they haven't actually left the game already.

In DotA 2, once you are mentally defeated, everything spirals out of control. In the blink of an eye you'll be underleveled, underfarmed and overwhelmed by your opponents.

Noobs walk to and from homebase too often

Nevermind that they don't use TP scrolls to get around the map, instead of using tangos or healing salves to replenish health, these noobs will walk back to the fountain, recharge and return to their lanes which is a waste of time and potential gold and experience.

Real pros don't ever go back to base unless it's to defend a tower, that's what the animal courier is for.

What's worse is that these noobs walk back to base when only their mana is low too!

Nevermind that there are more important things to worry about like lane control, or jungle farming, or denying, or placing wards. When anything, either HP or mana, is low, these crackheads will throw team play out the window just so they could replenish whatever was lost.

"I got mid!"

One of the most common noob mistakes is calling dibs on mid and not knowing what to do with it when the request is granted.

Mid lane gives a player faster gold and experience advantage, but it comes with added responsibilities which noobs are oblivious to.

Some responsibilities of mid lane include controlling runes, planning and preventing ganks, creep aggro on enemy hero, and so on.

Noobs have only one objective when they get mid, and that's to further their selfish desires for gold and experience. None of the advantages of mid lane will be maximized when a noob has occupied mid.

Not knowing when to flee or fight

This one really gets on my nerves.

So you're farming in lane like a normal guy, getting the gold and EXP like you're supposed to, when suddenly, out of nowhere, an enemy hero flanks you from behind. He's got one objective, and that's to get a kill.

That's when your noob lane ally, instead of helping a brother out, decides to make a break for it. What's worse is that this noob has more health and mana than you do but seems to make it a point to run faster than Forrest Gump.

Noobs run at the first sign of hostile enemy activity, oftentimes not realizing that they would actually have the upper hand if they chose to stay and fight.
