After it was confirmed that Ben Higgins is the new Bachelor, many fans are reportedly lining up to join the cast of the ABC series. Host Chris Harrison shared he received hundreds of messages from women, saying that they want to be part of the show.
Speaking to Buddy TV, Harrison shared that several fans of the reality show, as well as former contestants, have already expressed interest in joining "The Bachelor" 2016. Upon receiving hundreds of fan mail, the host said that it only proved that Higgins was the right choice.
Harrison pointed out that the fans' reaction did not come as a surprise given that Higgins is "ruggedly handsome." He added that the reality star is "incredibly kind" and has a "very good heart."
Although the host refused to reveal further details on who among the former "Bachelor/Bachelorette" contestants will be returning this season, Becca Tilley has already admitted that she had a huge crush on Higgins.
"Ben H is what most 26 yr old virgins named Becca are looking for," Tilley tweeted.
Meanwhile, Reality Steve claimed that the executive producers have always wanted Higgins to be the next Bachelor. They believed that his charm will work wonders for the reality series' ratings.
Although Harrison and show creator Mike Fleiss had been consistently asking fans on Twitter as to who they wanted on the show, the publication held that it was all for publicity.
The outlet added that ABC tried to drag the announcement for as long as possible to keep fans from talking and keep the interest up.
