Paul Burrell, the former employee of the British Royal Household, opened up in the recent episode of "Celebrity Big Brother" to reveal the heartbreaking last words of Princess Diana before she died in a tragic car accident in 1997.

The 57-year-old claimed on the reality TV show that just a few hours before her untimely death, Princess Diana had phoned him from Paris, where she was staying with her partner Dodi Al Fayed. During the call, she admittedly urged him to reassure her that he would be at home when she returns.

"You will be there when I get back won't you?" said Burrell to quote the late princess' words.

The late princess' former butler was talking animatedly with his housemates when he also revealed how Queen carries around a £5 note neatly folded with her face on the top to pops it into the collection box on Sundays.

Burrell has been introduced in the Channel 5's "Celebrity Big Brother" as a surprise guest on Sept. 1, Tuesday episode. The reality TV show's house is transformed into a Royal Palace, complete with British Royal family, while Burrell will be heading the contestants as they will serve them for the next few days.

Meanwhile, Burrell's declaration about Princess Diana's last words is not taken down well by the viewers, Metro reported. As soon as the clip was aired, Twitter was flooded with messages accusing him of ranting about the late princess for his own publicity. 

"Paul burrell should be ashamed of his self #CBB," tweeted a fan.

Burrell first came into limelight when he released a tell-all book based on his life with Diana that has known to have earned him £5 million. He has also appeared on many TV shows to lecture the youngsters about etiquettes and mannerism.

In 2002, Burrell was accused of stealing 342 items from the Royal Household, soon after Princess Diana's death, though, the charges were later dismissed, Daily Mail reported.
