"My plan was to stay with Game of Thrones for the long haul. That was always my plan. I would have loved to," Skrein told EW. The actor revealed that he left the TV show because of political reasons.

"It was a wonderful experience, but politics led to us parting ways," Skrein added.

Previous press releases claim that Skrein left the HBO hit series due to scheduling conflicts with the movie "The Transporter Refueled," where he plays a leading character. However, the actor said the he did not walk away from the show.

Skrein did not give any feedback on Huisman. Instead of looking back further, the actor intends to move forward and be positive. Skrein explained, "My journey has been unorthodox in many ways. All I do is count my blessings and try to be as present as I can. I'm thankful for every step of this journey."

In 2015 alone, Skrein is appearing in four movies; "Sword of Vengeance", "Tiger House", "The Transporter: Refueled", and "Kill Your Friends." He also has some 2016 movies in the pipeline.

Skrein remains grateful towards the "GoT" crew. He also values his friendship with Jacob Anderson, who plays Greyworm, Digital Spy reported.

Meanwhile, Huisman continued portraying the tricky and candid sellsword in the HBO series. The Queen of Mereen's lover grew to be a significant character in seasons 5 and 6.
