Rumors are doing the rounds that the HTC One M8 will possibly skip the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update. Furthermore, the smartphone does not have Android 5.1 Lollipop yet, therefore, owners of  HTC One M8 may have to wait for some time before Android 6.0 Marshmallow comes to their device.

Owners of HTC One M9 Developer Edition have successfully updated their devices to Android 5.1 Lollipop. However, it is not clear whether every edition of HTC One M9 will get the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update or not. It is possible that it will just skip the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update for Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

There is no information on when the LG G4, G3 and G2 will get the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update. It seems that LG will skip the 5.1.1 update and directly jump to Android 6.0.

According to several reports, the mobile company LG may be waiting for the release of Android Marshmallow. It means that users of LG G2, LG G3 and LG G4 have to wait for some more time before they get the Android M update on their device. In the past, LG has skipped other Android updates such as Android 4.4.4 KitKat.

Reports suggest that LG G4 probably will not receive the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update but wait for the Android Marshmallow. Users of LG G3 and LG G4  will receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update even with the wait. However, according to Tech Times, users of LG G2 may not get the Android Marshmallow update.

It is expected that the Android Marshmallow will bring in several improvements and new features such as enhanced app permissions, app links, fingerprint sensor, support for USB Type-C and Android Pay.
