Tech giant Google recently introduced a new feature on its search service that will greatly help in searching for certain medical conditions. Google will now integrate relevant health facts in its search results.


Google product manager Prem Ramaswani posted in Google's official search blog, "Indeed, health conditions continue to be among the most important things people ask Google about, and one of the most popular feature."

Several new features were mentioned that will soon be integrated in Google search results. Google will introduce a quick at-a-glance feature on its search result that will provide symptoms and treatment for 900 health conditions. The company promised that the list will grow in the future.

The list that contains 900 health conditions also include some rare and infectious diseases that can only be found in some of the poorest and remote conditions in the world.

Google will also allow users to download a PDF copy of these health conditions which they can then print and bring with them when they visit their doctor.

Google users who searches information about a medical conditions will now see three tabs: About, Symptoms and Treatments.

According to PC Mag, this new feature is currently support by desktop and mobile version of Google. Additionally, the feature is only available in United States English but the company promised that more languages and regions will be supported in the future.

Google said one out of 20 searches made every day on its platform is health-related. This overwhelming statistic has led the company to focus more on medical field. For this new feature, Google is teaming up with Mayo Clinic in order to create a database that will hold all relevant health related information.
