The Candy Apple's coach left "Dance Moms" in the middle of season 5. She explained that although she enjoyed being part of the cast, it was just a very busy time for her studio.

In a separate interview with the publication, Nesbitt-Stein shared that there was no bad blood between her and the other moms when she left. She said that she was able to properly say goodbye and was able to explain that she was not comfortable with her business taking the back seat.

Nesbitt-Stein and Vivi Anne's spot was taken by Michigan Broadway Dance Academy's Jeanette Cota of Fenton and her daughter, Ava. When the changes were announced, Nesbitt-Stein admitted that some of the cast members were not happy with the switch.

The coach explained that she thought Cota will be the perfect coach to replace her given her background. She shared that some of the dance moms were not happy when they heard about the news as they were "very fond" of her.

With Miller's alleged departure from the Lifetime series, the moms were reportedly happy that Nesbitt-Stein will be taking her place. They believed that the Candy Apple's coach is just as competent without being too strict. They also speculated that there would be fewer drama on the show with Miller gone.
