The latest trailer for BBC America's science fiction "Doctor Who" season 9 reveals that the Doctor (Peter Capaldi) is missing. Clara (Jenna Coleman) will be charged with the responsibility of finding the Doctor although she will not work alone.

The promo clip also portrays Clara working closely with Missy (Michelle Gomez), who will come back after being defeated in season 8, according to International Business Times. Apparently, Missy will help Clara track down the renowned Time Lord.

In some way, Missy found the Twelfth will of the Doctor and she tells Clara, "It's a compression dial. The last will and testament of the Doctor."

Meanwhile, Steven Moffat through Doctor Who TV told SFX Magazine, "This is the opening two-parter. It features lots of Daleks, and this time we mean it!"

Moffat added that Clara receives a mysterious call and has to team up with Missy to look for the Doctor in old and abandoned places.

It seems the Doctor will experience many difficulties during his absence. He may be in some kind of battle without any weapons. While his opponent has an axe, the Doctor may not sustain serious injuries because of his ability to regenerate a hand or other extremities.

The promo does not show the Doctor fighting different despicable villains, but it depicts a peek of them. The introduction reveals new creatures having hands with eyeballs emerging from the ground. On the contrary, the ending gives a flashback of one known alien - Daleks.

Longtime enemies of the Doctor have returned and are prepared to exterminate.
