Sad Miley Cyrus Shares Selfies With Pets While Battling Strep (Photo : Instagram)

Miley Cyrus is confined to bed due to her poor health and appeared to be a bit sad as she shared a series of selfies while lying sick in bed.

According to Daily Mail, "The Wrecking Ball," singer has fallen sick with strep throat, a bacterial infection, and she has been updating her fans about her health problem in a series of posts on her Instagram page.

The 22-year-old shared a series of the make-up free pictures on Instagram  Sept. 6, Sunday as she rested in bed watching cartoons on TV. In the shot, 2015 Video Music Awards host was wrapped up in blankets.

One photo she captioned: "When it's 100 degrees outside, but you are feelin sickyyyyy and you are freezing."

The "Wrecking Ball" hitmaker went on to upload pictures of herself cuddling her two rescue kittens (KiKi and LiLo) and dog and watching TV before adding a picture of her swollen tonsils with the caption, "Gnarly".

Posting a snapshot of her pets sitting on her, Cyrus wrote: ''Reason 1,000,000,000,000 why I (love) kitties! Da best care takerzzzz! When I'm sick deez little puss pusssssss baby me (sic)''

In another snapshot with her collie dog, she wrote, "ALWAYZ count on the annyZZZ! We gotta always take care of em! They take such good care of us,"

"Can't Be Tamed," songstress later revealed she is battling strep. According to eMedicine Health, strep throat is a contagious disease caused by infection with streptococcal bacteria, which causes inflammation and swelling of the mucous membranes lining the back of the throat and the tonsils.

Meanwhile, just a week ago the charismatic Cyrus has entertained viewers with 11 outrageous outfits when she hosted the MTV Video Music Awards. 

She has also surprised her fans with the release of her free album entitled "Miley Cyrus and Her Dead Petz."  Sexiest Vegetarian Celebrity of 2015 wrote and produced the album independently, alongside Flaming Lip and Wayne Coyne.
