"The Vampire Diaries" Season 7 promo video teases what kind of life Mystic Falls will have without Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev) joining her friends in dealing with a Ripper and six vampire-witches on the loose. The CW TV series' upcoming new season will be focusing on the new threats in town called the Heretics as well as Lily Salvatore (Annie Wersching), the Ripper mother of Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Stefan (Paul Wesley).
According to TV.com, "The Vampire Diaries" may be able to pull off season 7 based on the promo video without Elena Gilbert in the picture because of the linking spell that Kai Parker (Chris Wood) placed on her and Bonnie Bennett (Kat Graham) in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6. Kai explained that Elena will remain asleep as long as Bonnie is alive.
The upcoming new season of the CW supernatural drama series will now be focusing more on the relationship between the Salvatore brothers. Another storyline in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 7 is the threat of Damon and Stefan's Ripper mother and the Heretics in Mystic Falls.
In the promo video, Damon does not like the idea of Lily and the Heretics living in the Salvatore family mansion. Stefan explains that a deal has already been made.
"We don't mess with them, they don't mess with us," Stefan declares in the promo video. However, the other TVD characters do not like the deal that Lily and the Heretics made.
Caroline (Candice Accola) thinks Mystic Falls is being handed over to supernatural terrorists. As for Bonnie, the witch tells Enzo (Michael Malarkey) in the promo video that they need to stop Lily and the Heretics who are on a killing spree in Mystic Falls.
According to Dread Central, "The Vampire Diaries" series creator and executive producer Julie Plec teased that Lily Salvatore and the Heretics are going to stick together in the upcoming new season. Plec further added that the Heretics will be messy, mean and perverse trouble makers of Mystic Falls.
"The Vampire Diaries" Season 7 will premiere on Thursday night, Oct. 8, at 8/7c on the CW Network.
