ReedPOP, organizers of the world-renowned Comic Convention (Comic Con), announced in a press conference on Thursday, Sept. 10, that they will be holding the event next year in the country's capital. This comes after the group hosted the same event in Shanghai in May 2015, a phenomenon that gathered over 14,000 eager fans.

In the press conference held at Geek Hall bar, founder Lance Fensterman said that the Beijing Comic Con will be held from June 9-10, 2016.

"Comic Con is an outlet for people to be crazy," Fensterman said.
