Hot couple Johnny Depp and Amber Heard recently made heads turn at the red-carpet premiere of the actor's latest film "Black Mass" and her movie "The Danish Girl" at the Toronto International Film Festival.

It was not too long ago when the "Magic Mike XXL" actress had another film, "All the Boys Love Mandy Lane," presented at TIFF.  That was in 2006. Heard graced the same festival this September, this time with arms locked with her famous hubby.

Heard and Depp's respective movies have been met with waves of praise at the festival. There is even major buzz that the veteran actor is up for an Oscar award.

Depp's film delves into the secret world of an FBI informant/agent and the sources they deal with.  The movie is based on the book "Black Mass: The Irish Mob, the FBI, and a Devil's Deal" written by Dick Lehr and Gerard O'Neill.

"Black Mass" and "The Danish Girl" have both gotten rave reviews, People magazine reported. Depp has long been recognized among Hollywood's most bankable and talented actors. He had commercial misfires like most other seasoned actors, but he has always been regarded as unique.

His model-actress wife has been featured in many tabloids exuding her glamorous and sexy persona.

Heard stated in an interview that she often tried to break free from the "exterior presentation" of herself that other people make of her. What she is alarmed about is the high cost of fame, or losing her "ability to transverse the world with freedom and ease," Elle reported.

The high-profile celebrity couple was previously spotted at the Venice Film Festival, where "Black Mass" and "The Danish Girl" also premiered. The cozy twosome temporarily lay to rest rumblings that they were having marital trouble.
