Valeria Lukyanova, whose claim to fame is her Barbie doll-like features, is embarking on her first world tour dubbed Space Barbie Tour.
The Ukrainian model who serves as instructor at the School of Out-of-Body Travel, and who goes by the name Amatu, is into a lot of things these days. She has started a new career as a DJ. In fact, one of the recent photographs she has posted on social media shows her on the decks.
The 30-year-old model and Architecture graduate has gravitated to futuristic deep house and space disco music.
Lukyanova will begin her Space Barbie Tour in October. Her itinerary includes Latin America, the United States, Australia, China, Japan, Australia plus several European countries, a press release on her own website stated.
The world tour was spawned by her fledgling DJ career. It will be a musical excursion into deep space.
Lukyanova became an internet sensation after snaps highlighting her ultra thin waist, curvy shape, and trendy, doll-like fashion style and make-up widely circulated on the internet.
Being cast in the spotlight brought both advantages and disadvantages. The upside is the captive audience she has when sharing her music and art. Among the downside of all the exposure she has gotten is flak from netizens. She has also been subjected to verbal and physical assaults a number of times.
Lukyanova has written mostly songs inspired by her astral travels and meditative activities, V Magazine reported.
She considers it her mission to spread spiritual ideas and enlighten people. Her upcoming tour is a vehicle for that spiritual mission.
