Murphy did not reveal any detail on Schwarzenegger's character in the horror-comedy series. However, Variety has learned that the 21-year-old son of actor and former Governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver will portray the recurring role of a relative to a "Scream Queens" cast member.

Furthermore, Schwarzenegger is set to make his first appearance in an episode that will air in November. "Scream Queens" is an anthology series comparable in structure to Murphy's "American Horror Story."

According to TV Guide, "Scream Queens" will begin with a number of murders happening at a college campus. Schwarzenegger will be joining the "Scream Queens" ensemble that is led by "American Horror Story" cast member Emma Roberts as sorority president Chanel and "Halloween" actress Jamie Lee Curtis as Wallace University dean Cathy Munsch.

The other "Scream Queens" cast members include Skyler Samuels, "Glee" actress Leah Michele, Keke Palmer, Oliver Hudson, Glen Powell, Diego Boneta and "Little Miss Sunshine" actress Abigail Breslin. Meanwhile, the upcoming new TV series has listed Niecy Nash, Nick Jonas and Ariana Grande as the special celebrity guest stars.

Grande has already worked with Schwarzenegger in the 2013 music video of her song "Right There." The details on whether the two will have some scenes together in "Scream Queens" are still not clear.

As for Schwarzenegger, his recurring role in "Scream Queens" also adds up to his TV and film work credit that includes "The Benchwarmers," "Stuck In Love" and "Grown Ups 2." Schwarzenegger currently works on the films "Midnight Sun" and "North" which are both slated to be released in 2016.

"Scream Queens" will premiere on Tuesday night, Sept. 22, at 8/7c on Fox.
