The Miami Dolphins opened the new season with a 17-10 win over the Washington Redskins while the Jacksonville Jaguars dropped their opener to the Carolina Panthers 20-9 during the 2015 NFL season Week 1 competitions.

While Miami won their season opener, head coach Joe Philbin should have all the right reasons not to like it as they were blanked by the Redskins, 10-0, in the middle of the second quarter.

However, the character shown by quarterback Ryan Tannehill and wide receiver Jarvis Landry to rally the Dolphins back during crunch time was more than enough benefit to the team, as reported by the Miami Herald.

Defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh's Miami debut was not that brilliant, but the entire defense held Washington scoreless the rest of the way after their opening half barrage.

Meanwhile, the Jaguars seems to be at their worst against the Panthers with Blake Bortles playing horrendously going 22-of-40 for 183 yards, two interceptions, and five sacks for an extremely low QB rating of 25.4, via CBS Sports.

He managed to have a touchdown, though, but that's about it for him and the whole offensive team.

Against the tough Dolphins' defense, Bortles is expected to play even worse and Jacksonville may not even put the ball in the end zone on this one.

The only advantage the Jaguars have this Sunday is that they are playing at the EverBank Field.
