Shailene Woodley and Theo James News: Dating Rumors False, Couple Excited About New 'Insurgent' Movie (Photo : Reuters)
Summit Entertainment has released its first trailer of "Divergent: Allegiant" and it showed what danger awaits Tris Prior (Shailene Woodley) and Four (Theo James) outside the walls of Chicago.
Entertainment Weekly reported that the a big part of the trailer involved a recap of the past two movies up until the end of "Insurgent." It then picks up to present-day when Tris and her friends try to get out of the city.
The penultimate installment of the Divergent series is an explosive one with lots of action scenes as it also reveals the post-apocalyptic world and how Chicago has been an experiment all this time.
Tris plays a big part in "saving the world," according to new cast Jeff Daniels.
According to Comingsoon.net, Veronica Roth's bestselling novel "Allegiant" will be directed by Robert Schwentke, produced by Douglas Wick and Lucy Fisher, while its screenplay is written by Adam Cooper, Noah Oppenheim, Stephen Chbosky, and Bill Collage.
"Divergent" actors who will also reprise their roles in the third movie includes Octavia Spencer, Naomi Watts, Maggie Q, Miles Teller, Zoë Kravitz, Ray Stevenson, Ansel Elgort , Keiynan Lonsdale, and Jonny Weston. More new members were also added such as Nadia Hilker and Bill Skarsgård.
The first two "Divergent" movies earned over $550 million at the box office worldwide. Meanwhile, sales of the books have skyrocketed to 34 million copies from 17 million since the first movie was released in 2014.
"Allegiant" ends with one of the major characters facing something unfortunate that will change the lives of the rest of the characters. There's no word yet if the studio will follow the ending or give the fans a new one that is more acceptable to them.
"Divergent: Allegiant" hits the big screen on March 18, 2016.
