According to reports, North Korea has upgraded and restarted its atomic bomb fuel production plants.
The country said that it is all set to use nuclear weapons against the United States and other hostile countries at any time if they continuously seek their hostile policy towards North Korea and behave mischievously.
North Korea claimed that its main nuclear facility, the Yongbyon nuclear complex, has resumed operations. The claim came one day after the country threatened to launch satellites that several people think are covers for missile tests.
The anticipated missile launches will occur simultaneously with celebrations to mark the party anniversary on October 10th.
Josh Earnest, White House spokesman, said that North Korea should abstain from irresponsible provocation that increases regional tensions. He said that the US and other countries will not accept North Korea as a nuclear state, ABC News reported.
He further said that they urge North Korea to abstain from actions that threaten regional security and peace and concentrate on fulfilling it's international commitments and obligations.
North Korea has spent many years attempting to perfect a long-range rocket. After many failures, the country used a long-range rocket to put its first satellite into space back in 2012. The international organization United Nations said that it was a banned test of ballistic-missile technology and levied sanctions.
After that, North Korea carried out its third nuclear test in 2013, inviting more sanctions and international condemnation, according to Daily Mail Online. Furthermore, later that year, the country threatened Washington and Seoul with nuclear strikes. North Korea's pursuit of ballistic missiles and nuclear weapons is seen by Washington as a threat to the security of the world.
