The X-Men, Deadpool, and Gambit are reported to crossover in the 20th Century Fox's future superhero films.

In his interview with MTV, executive producer Simon Kinberg said that Bryan Singer's "X-Men: Days of Future Past" would influence the storyline of Rupert Wyatt's "Gambit" and Tim Miller's "Deadpool." Kinberg clarified that there will be an "interplay" among the characters, which means they would share the same rules; however, they would not always interact among each other in each film.

According to Cinema Blend, any crossover of characters is a "good move" for 20th Century Fox. Fans have seen Taylor Kitsch play the Cajun mutant Gambit and share the big screen with Hugh Jackman's Wolverine in Gavin Hood's "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" in 2009. Similarly, fans will be seeing Andre Tricoteux as Colossus in Miller's forthcoming "Deadpool."

The blend of the Marvel characters will also provide a smooth flow to Fox's expansion of its superhero films in the future. With the idea of putting the X-Men, Gambit, and Deadpool in one cinematic universe, it will also be easier for the studio to develop new and creative storylines for films, such as Jeff Wadlow's "X-Force" and "X-Men: The New Mutants."

The X-Men is next to be seen in Bryan Singer's "X-Men: Apocalypse" stands as the final installment in the "X-Men: First Class" film series. Meanwhile, "Deadpool" features Wilson's origin story, as a former member of the Special Forces who became a subject in an experiment to become a superhero. Then, "Gambit" features the origin story of the titular Cajun mutant, who will be played by Channing Tatum.

Singer's "X-Men: Apocalypse" is slated to premiere in theaters in the United States on May 27, 2016 while Miller's "Deadpool" is set to premiere in theaters on Feb. 12, 2016. Meanwhile, Wyatt's "Gambit" solo film is set to hit theaters on Oct. 7, 2016.
