Curtis, 56, admitted in an interview with USA Today that the show's creators and executive producers have given her the best creative experience in "Scream Queens." Curtis has shared that she looked at being a part of the new TV series as a gift.

When asked if she enjoys the horror genre, Curtis revealed that she gets scared easily. Curtis told USA Today that she never watched Murphy's "American Horror Story" or "Nip/Tuck" because she finds the show a little dark.

Curtis, who was a movie scream queen in the 1980 horror film "The Fog," will be portraying Dean Cathy Munsch of Wallace University, who forces Kappa Kappa Tau sorority president Chanel Oberlin (Emma Roberts) to accept all pledges in "Scream Queens." Curtis shared that her character is a feminist who endured the reality of what feminism really created.

The pilot season will focus on the sorority where the characters experience again the murder mystery that happened 20 years ago as well as the reemergence of the serial killer called the Red Devil. Curtis, who admires the talent of her "Scream Queens" co-stars, describes Emma Roberts, Abigail Breslin, "Glee" star Lea Michele, Billie Lourd and Skyler Samuels as savvy and multi-platform artists.

Curtis expressed admiration for her co-stars' talent and clear-focused sense of who they are as an artist which was something she did not have when was 19 years old. According to Deadline, "Scream Queens" will also premiere in all Fox International Channels licensed markets within 24 hours of its debut.

"We can't wait to roll out these incredibly exciting series to fans around the world," FIC President and CEO Hernan Lopez stated. Lopez further added that the viewers are responsible in driving the success of a TV series during its premiere window and duration.

"Scream Queens" is scheduled to premiere on Tuesday night, Sept. 22, at 9 p.m. ET on Fox.
