A leaked image showing the supposedly the first Lenovo smartphone designed by Motorola's hardware team has surfaced.
The device leaked image came from popular smartphone leaker, @upleaks, showing off a handset dubbed the Lemon X which certainly looks like having rounded corners and the camera positioning appears like of Motorola's designs. The most noticeable of these resemblances is the Moto-esque metal frame with antennae band wrapped around the outer edge of the device, something that is similar with Motorola's Moto X smartphones and the Nexus 6.
Another similar design of the device is the oval-shaped metal that wraps around the camera and Android M's native fingerprint support on the back of the device. Its camera and LED flash are placed inside a metal pill-shaped panel on the back, almost similar with new Moto lineup. The overall shape of Lemon X is slightly different, 9to5Google reported.
As for the key differences, most of them are clearly shown on the front part of the device. It suggests that there will be a row of capacitive home, back, and multitasking buttons under the display, as compared to Moto lineup with only virtual onscreen controls. Its speaker grilles design is also different, covered by a number of individually machined holes and it is also Dolby powered, according to Ubergizmo. It is also expected that it may feature Android Marshmallow. Lemon X could be a mid-high end device.
Lemon X could be the product of Lenovo's Mobile Business Group because the company wants to drive the overall mobile business, so they will rely on Motorola to design, develop and manufacture smartphone products for now.
