The release notes for the upcoming Windows 10 build 10540 update leaked. The leak reveals almost every detail about the upcoming Windows 10 build which is expected to be part of the Threshold 2 update.
According to Neowin, Microsoft is planning to release the Threshold 2 update in November. However, the Russian website WZoR managed to publish the release notes for the upcoming Windows build which is believed to be part of the update.
The leaked documents reveal that Microsoft addressed performance issues and included several optimizations which were previously reported and demanded by its user base.
The leaked documents also reveal that Microsoft will finally add the Jump lists to Windows Store apps directly into the Start Menu. Additionally, Microsoft Edge will apparently get a new user agent-string in order to improve that browser's compatibility with some websites.
Microsoft provided a detailed description for the Jump lists update and was reported by Windows Central posting, "You can now build jump lists for Windows Store apps (immersive apps). Note that the jump list content will now also be available from tiles in Start and All apps list, in addition to the taskbar and the Most Used list in Start."
The leaked documents also mention that creating bootable USB drives are now impossible due to the increased size of the install.wim. Experts said that the issue will only affect FAT32 formatted drives. On the other hand, Microsoft did not mention whether formatting USB drives in NTFS is possible.
