While ABC is set to premiere "Grey's Anatomy" season 12 on Sept. 24, the trailers of the same are already out, giving a sneak peek into what the viewers can expect from the upcoming season.
Since the fans of the show are still recovering from the shocking death of Derek (Patrick Dempsey) which happened in the season 11 finale episode, the show is likely to offer a lighter version this time, show-runner Shonda Rhimes told E! News .

The inside reports stated that "Grey's Anatomy" season 12 episode 1 will be titled "Sledgehammer," though the topic will have nothing much to do with the plot. The premier episode will tackle a much sensitive issue, that of bullying among teenagers.
The two young girls will be admitted in the hospital who has become victims of bullying. As the hospital staff rush to save their lives, some of the doctors will revisit their own past to reveal the effects of bullying they have on their lives.
The season 12 of the medical-drama series will also show the return of April (Sarah Drew) back in the life of Jackson (Jesse Williams). Fans of the show can recall that April was devastated over the death of her newborn child and has left Jackson behind to work at an army camp.
While Jackson is dealing with the renewed alliance with his wife, Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) is still not over with her husband's death. She has moved out to live in her mother's home with her sister-in-law and her half-sister Maggie (Kelly McCreary).
The season 12 will also see the addition of some new interns in the hospital, one of whom will become the romantic interest of one of the doctors, Hypable reported.
