Amazon is planning to launch a new super-cheap Fire tablet, combining a reasonable price and high-quality specs that are extraordinary in the "budget" tablet category.

The upcoming device is called Fire tablet, and it costs only $49.99 and the biggest online seller will sell six-packs for $250, meaning that when consumers purchase the tablets, they will get one for free. Amazon executive Jeff Bezos said that it is the company’s cheapest tablet ever and they are setting a completely new standard for a tablet under $50.

The upcoming tablet is listed as “Amazon KFFOWI.” It features a 6.7-inch display with 1024 x 600 screen resolution. It is powered by a 1.3 MHz quad-core MediaTek MT8127 Cortex-A7 processor coupled with about 1GB of RAM. The leaked report stated that the device will be equipped with a .3-megapixel front-facing camera and a 1.8-megapixel camera.

Amazon’s low-end tablet will be running on Android 5.1. It has 8GB of internal storage, but expandable up to 128GB using microSD card. Its battery life can last up to seven hours. Fire Tablet contains Amazon content such as Prime Video, Kindle ebooks, and Prime Music, according to The Verge.

Interested buyers can now pre-order the budget tablet and Amazon will start shipping in two weeks. The $50 device is part of a slate Amazon is planning to launch this year and it will also include tablets with 8-inch and 10-inch screens, 9to5Google reported.

Currently, brands such as RCA, Ematic and Ares have 7-inch tablets are available at Wal-Mart Stores Inc. and Amazon for as little as $40.
