The Beijing International Marathon is an annual running event of 42.195 kilometers held in China's capital.

First held in 1981, the race starts from Tiananmen Square and traverses an undulating route through city streets, reaching the Olympic Village to end at the Bird's Nest Stadium.

The race allows participation from locals and foreigners, as well as individuals and teams, and even costumed contestants that add more character to the event.
