Fans of "Mistresses" series may be delighted to know that there is a high probability that the series will be renewed for season 4. When season 3 ended with a cliffhanger, many speculated that this could only mean that there is more to come for the show. Unfortunately that does not guarantee a renewal nowadays.

Speaking to TV Line showrunners Rina Mimoun and K.J. Steinberg revealed that they are optimistic of the show's fate. They admitted that although ABC has not made an announcement regarding the renewal, they also have not dropped the axe yet, which they considered a good sign.

Mimoun speculated that they will probably know by October if "Mistresses" will be cancelled or renewed for season 4. Steinberg added that there had been a strong interest from the network.

In the season 3 finale, Wilson was seen holding a gun to Joss' head. Viewers at are at the edge of their seats waiting to find out what will happen to her when the closing credits began rolling.

According to Christian Post, recent reports suggest that Joss is actually alive and will be returning to season 4. This could only mean that the series has been renewed and the showrunners may just be tight lipped about the renewal to build the anticipation.

It is also important to note that the producers seemed confident about ending the show on a cliffhanger. The publication pointed out that the "lack of proper ending" during the last season may be taken as a strong indication that the series will be coming back.
