If you thought the Cowboys season couldn't get any crazier, you were wrong. 41 year old wide receiver Terrell Owens is interested in getting back in the NFL, and he wants to do that with the 2-0 Dallas Cowboys.

Chris Law tweeted the rumor, stating that ".@terrellowens says he had his agent reach out to @dallascowboys about possibility of playing for them after the loss of Dez @RichEisenShow".

If this were 10 years ago, the idea of adding a wide receiver like Terrell Owens would make any Cowboys fan excited. Unfortunately, at 41 years old, Owens is no spring chicken. The fact of the matter is, any casual fan can tell you that Owens is not fit to be in this league any longer.

Owens actually played for the Dallas Cowboys from 2006 to 2008, making the NFL first team and the Pro Bowl in 2007. He also led the league in receiving touchdowns as a member of the Cowboys in 2006.

Still, without Dez Bryant, do the Cowboys have anything to lose adding Owens back into the fold?

Yes. They have a lot to lose. The Cowboys, despite their injuries, are currently atop the NFC East at 2-0. The rest of the division has not been playing well, and with 2 early division wins over the Giants and the Eagles, the Cowboys are still very much in the hunt for a playoff spot. By the time the playoffs come around, Bryant should be fully healthy, so Terrell Owens would be unnecesary to the team.

The bigger question in this entire situation is, however: why does Terrell Owens still have an agent in the first place?
