The Cowboys just can't seem to catch a break. Without their quarterback Tony Romo, wide receiver Dez Bryant, as well as the loss of Randy Gregory and the suspension of Greg Hardy, one would wonder if things could get any more worse for the Cowboys.

Well, they can, and they just did.

Tight end Jason Witten, who is recovering from two sprained ankles and one sprained knee, is reportedly 'questionable' for the Cowboy's next game against the Atlanta Falcons.

A league source told ESPN that "[Witten] will be day-to-day all week, but he's not a lock [to play] at this point,".

Witten rebuffs these rumors, saying that the possible injuries are just "typical football stuff."

Witten is a player who is known for his high tolerance for pain. In fact, he has only missed 1 game in his entire career due to a broken jaw. He even played in the opener against the New York Giants, even though he had a ruptured septum. The Cowboys went on to win that game, but ended up losing Dez Bryant.

The Cowboys would be in even deeper trouble if they were to lose a player like Witten. A lot of key players in their lineup are currently out due to injury, and this does not bode well for the Cowboys.

However, with a 2-0 record in a division that seems to have everyone struggling, the Cowboys may be able to pull through this one yet. So even with the plethora of injuries, there is definitely a reason to remain optimistic about the Cowboy's season.
