"Veep" season 5 co-stars Tony Hale and Anna Chlumsky recently opened up about the upcoming installment of the hit HBO series.

In an interview with TV Line, Hale revealed that season 5 will get even uglier compared to the past seasons.

Although he could not divulge details about his character's fate, Hale revealed that the event that took place on Labor Day will be explored in season 5.

According to the actor, something dark took place on Labor Day, and fans need to wait and see what this dark incident really was.

Meanwhile, Chlumsky assured fans that her character Amy will still be part of the upcoming season. However, she revealed that Amy may no longer work for her old boss.

In other news, there are rumors that Selina would be the new president.

Season 4 ended with Selina and Bill on a tight run for the presidential seat. According to Christian Post, it would be an interesting episode come season 5 because not only will the new president be named, the House of Representatives will also be choosing their vice president.

The publication revealed that season 5 episode 1 will kick off in the morning after the election. This particular episode will also feature how Selina will come to terms with the announcement, and whether or not she will be in office as the president.

"Veep" season 5 will premiere in the next few months. As of late, the cast members are still on break because production will commence sometime next month.
