Ed Boon's teaser that four new characters will join the Mortal Kombat universe in 2016's "Mortal Kombat X" Kombat Pack 2 has set off a guessing game as to who they may be.

An image of four silhouettes captioned "Who's Next?" was posted on Boon's twitter and fans have been driven wild guessing at the silhouettes' identities.

Some of the names that have been thrown out for the first silhouette are Baraka Smoke or Noob Salbot. Baraka has been known to appear as an A.I. opponent in the story campaign of the game.

Smoke is also known to have similar build and has appeared for Lin Kuei platters in a special Faction Kill. Additionally, Noob Salbot can also be a possibility as he fits the profile, according to Shack News.

Speculations for the second silhouette include Rain, Sindel or Fujin because Rain and Kitana's mother Sindel has appeared as an A.I. character before.

Fujin was the wind god for the game's cinematics.

It's hard to see the third character's silhouette, but it seems to be wearing a helmet and chest orb.

This hints at him being either Sektor or Cyrax, but both these characters were eliminated earlier in the game, so perhaps Nether Realm is introducing a new character.

The fourth character could possibly be Bo Rai Cho, the beloved kung fu master who specializes in the drunken fist technique.

As to other characters, a Screen Rant report has hinted at The Joker being one, as one of the silhouettes has hair that has a similar shape to his.

There have also been whispers of Indiana Jones or Neo.
