The first trailer of the "Angry Birds" movie is out. For the film, the plot was developed beyond the birds battling their nemesis, the pigs.
Bustle reports that the trailer reveals a little of the plot by establishing that Red, the red bird, suffers from terrible luck and anger management issues. He and other birds such as Chuck, the yellow one, are classmates in an anger management class to help the winged ones calm down.
While the reason behind their anger was not given, saved for everyday things that irritate the birds, to vent their rage, the Red is seen drop kicking smaller birds into the ocean. The trailer also shows Black bird exploding and Chuck moving faster than the rest of the birds.
The birds are joined in the movie by the Eagle, which used to be available only through an in-app purchase. However, Red remains the best bird in the movie.
Meanwhile, their enemies - the pigs - are portrayed as crafty and good in building. But the trailer did not show any sign of their tendency to steal bird eggs.
Bustle notes the high level of attention to details that the movie producer did in making the movie, citing the "jokes layered within jokes" that attentive moviegoers would notice and appreciate.
The trailer, which is set to Michael Jackson's "Bad" and The Carpenters' "Close to You," has more than 350,000 hits on YouTube since it was released on Wednesday, Sept. 23.
The voice actors for the movie are Jason Sudeikis, Peter Dinklage, Maya Rudolph, Keegan-Michael Ky, Josh Gad, Hannibal Buress and Kate McKinnon.
