Activision has recently announced Call of Duty World League, touted to be the worldwide eSports league for "Call of Duty."  This will bring players together with competitions and live-streamed events, so they can all play against fellow fans, Activision announced via its official blog.

What's more, the competitions will also be a way for these fans to get a shot at competing in the "Call of Duty" Championship, where the prize pool has been boosted to as much as $3 million in winnings.

The "Call of Duty" World League will have several divisions, including a Pro Division and a Challenge Division. The Pro Division will start in January 2016 in North America, Australia and Europe. The regional competition winners will advance towards the Pro division, expected to happen sometime in the fall of next year. Challenge Division will let non-professional COD players to play in different competitions for a shot at a place in the COD Championship.
