"Game of Thrones" season 6 star Kit Harington recently confirmed his character Jon Snow is still alive.

In recent months, fans have been speculating on the fate of the character. Some of them have been saying that Jon was killed off from the series. However, more fans believe that the titular character would not be axed just like that.

Just recently, Harington was photographed wearing his costume as Jon on "Game of Thrones."

Fans immediately reacted positively because this confirmed that the 28-year-old actor will still be part of the hit HBO series.

Meanwhile, Design N Trend noted that there could be a chance Jon's costume in the photo was very much different from his Night's Watch armor. Additionally, the character's long hair was tied in a bun.

In an interview with Watchers on the Wall, multiple sources revealed that Harington was seen filming a battle scene that will be featured in "Game of Thrones" season 6.

The publication also revealed that the massive battle scene would most likely air on the ninth episode for the season.

In season 5, Jon died, but it is highly likely that he was released from his oath as a Night's Watch member. This means that he could finally seek vengeance against the Boltons for turning their backs on the Starks.

As of late, it is still unclear whether or not Harington will still be part of the series. During the 2015 Emmy Awards, the host also joked about the actor's fate on the show.

"Game of Thrones" season 6 will premiere on HBO in April 2016.
