Users of Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge under AT&T's wireless network will now receive the much-awaited Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop) OS update.

The OS update is roughly 670MB and it includes the addition of Samsung Pay, ultra-high quality (UHQ) audio, and live broadcasting, which allows the users to stream gameplay directly from YouTube. Updates are making its way to Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge owners over-the-air.

In terms of changes in the design, update also made some tweakings on its app icons to make them look similar to those on the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+. Reports also said that there is a significant performance boost after installing the latest OS update. The update rollout may take it in phases, so users to need to wait for an update notification.

They can also search manually for the software from the software update section in the Settings app, accoridng to International Business Times. To manually search for Android 5.1.1, users should navigate to Settings > About device > Software Update.

Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop) OS update for Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge brings newer animation effects, better and smooth user interface, enhanced battery life for the device, polished and faster task switcher animation effects, and improved bug fixing performance.

Recently, Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop) OS updates was also rolled to global variants of Samsung's Galaxy Note 4 smartphones. Samsung Pay is currently available for selected high-end devices like Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge. It will be available as well to budget Samsung Galaxy smartphones.

On the other hand, other mobile carriers like Verizon and T-Mobile will also have the Samsung Pay feature to their Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge+, and Note 5 as well, Android Police reported.
