"God Gave Me You" singer Bryan White took to Twitter to announce that he is set to collaborate with the AlDub couple, which is composed of Filipino stars Alden Richard and Maine Mendoza, better known as Yaya Dub.
"I'm not in the Philippines Yet but we are making a very BIG announcement in 2 days!" White tweeted on Sept. 26, Saturday. "Get ready! Love you! #GGMY #ALDubEBforLOVE @EatBulaga."
After discovering that his song "God Gave Me You" was used in the Philippine TV show "Eat Bulaga," where the Twitter record-breaking couple AlDub was featured, White became very excited to visit the Philippines. On Dec. 1, the country singer will have a concert at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, Metro Manila, GMA News reported.
Richards and Mendoza are expected to appear as special guests during White's concert tour in Manila in December, according to Zeibiz.
"God Gave Me You" is from White's fourth studio album "How Lucky I Am," which was released on Asylum Records in 1999. White co-produced the album with Derek George and Dan Huff.
Since 2012, "God Gave Me You" became a big hit in the Philippines. It became even more popular in "Glee" alum Charice and boxing superstar Manny Pacquiao's home country when Richards of the AlDub couple frequently dubs the song to his partner, Mendoza.
Among the artists White has worked with are LeAnn Rimes, Shania Twain, Joe Diffie, Jackie Lee and Lila McCann. His collaboration with Twain titled "From This Moment On" are among his chart-topping hits along with "God Gave Me You," "Someone Else's Star" and "I'm Not Supposed To Love You Anymore."
