A new leaked document reveals the full specs of the rumored LG Nexus 5X surfaced ahead of its suspected release date on Sept. 29.
The leak came from Reddit, which confirmed all previously leaked and speculated specs that surfaced on the Internet. However, many analysts consider the latest leak as a sort of confirmation of previous leaks.
The new leak reveals that the LG Nexus 5X will sport a 5.2-inch LCD display with a 1920 x 1080 resolution and pixel density of 424ppi. The display is protected with a Gorilla Glass 3 and sports the same oleophobic coating which is a standard on most smartphones.
The LG flagship phone boasts a 12.3-megapixel rear facing main camera and a 5-megapixel front facing secondary camera. The main camera has an f/2.0 aperture, 4K recording support, dual-tone flash and IR laser autofocus. On the other hand, the secondary camera sports 1.4 micrometer pixels and f/2.2 aperture.
As previous leaks speculated, the Nexus 5X will use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 chipset with a 64bit hexa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz. The chipset has an Adreno 418 graphics processing unit.
According to 9to5 Google, the leak also confirms that the LG Nexus 5X will have 2GB of LPDDR3 memory. The smartphone will be released in two storage variants; 16GB and 32GB. Based on the leaked document, the device will not support storage expansion via external memory cards.
Android Police reported that the 2GB RAM might spell some memory problems especially since the device will run on the new Android Marshmallow operating system. Additionally, most top-tiered devices released these days have at least 3GB of RAM.
The Nexus 5X boasts a lot of sensors including the fingerprint sensor. Additional sensors include accelerometer, gyroscope, barometer, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, hall sensor and Android Context Hub.
LG Nexus 5X's ports include a single Nano SIM slot, 2.5 mm audio jack and micro USB Type-C port.
