Is Zayn Malik dating again? The question was thrown around when he released his most recent Instagram photo, which features the former One Direction singer hugging a mystery blonde woman.
The picture, picked up by E! Online. shows Malik shirtless with his arm draped around the beautiful woman. The pair is touching cheeks and puckering their lips.
The caption doesn't mention a name for the woman, but there was initial speculation that it was Gage Golightly who plays Erica Reyes on "Teen Wold," MTV.
Golightly silenced speculation immediately on her own Instagram page:
"Hi everyone, just wanted to clarify that I am not the girl in the photo with Zayn Malik. But what a lucky girl! Love y'all." she wrote.
This comes just a month after Malik broke up with his ex-fiance Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards via phone. Malik has not spoken much about the split, save for a vague tweet, which may or may not be attributable to the exes relationship.
"You just can't do enough for some people, I guess," he wrote.
Following the breakup, Malik was also rumored to be seeing Neelam Gill, but nothing was confirmed about this whisper, so it died out.
Many fans have not been happy about the possible new development in Malik's lovelife so close to his ended year-long engagement and took to social media to voice their distaste, as it has been reported in the International Business Times.
Edwards, meanwhile, is reported to be still struggling with the sudden end of their relationship.
In August, Little Mix's front woman cried as she sang 'The End", a song about breakups that her group wrote and performed.
