The Daily Express indicated that the Bavarians are willing to part ways with their consistent goal scorer for a sum of no less than £45 million, something which three of the richest football teams in the world can provide at any time.

The 27-year-old Warsaw native had been dominating the defenses in Bundesliga this season, scoring 10 goals in six appearances, which was capped by a five-goal in nine minutes performance against last season's runners-up Wolfsburg on September 22nd.

Surely, his recent plays have definitely caught the eyes of Real manager Rafa Benitez and president Florentino Pérez that they are willing to shell out that amount of money to acquire Lewandowski.

Rumors are swirling that Los Merengues are planning to do some major changes in their lineup, including possibly selling prized players Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, and Gareth Bale to sign new Galacticos for next season.

Chelsea's Eden Hazard and Liverpool's Philippe Coutinho are alleged targets as well aside from the Poland international.

ESPN reported that Lewandowski's manager, Cezary Kucharski, hinted that his client preferred moving to the Spanish capital than transferring to England.

"Manchester? It always rains there. Barcelona or Madrid? They are nice places, and in Spain there is the best atmosphere for playing football," Kucharski said.

However, it looks like the battle for Lewandowski may take place next year or even the year after that as he is reportedly happy with Bayern and is still under contract with the German club until 2019.
