LG has announced the Watch Urbane 2nd Edition, an updated version of the previous model.

Introduced in November 2014r, Android Wear-powered LG Watch Urbane became available to the United States market in April. It has a pretty chunky device without a lot of style, but now the new model is ready to address the design issue and offer new features and specs.

This is the first Android Wear smartwatch with a built-in phone. It has its own nano-SIM card, allowing users to make and receive calls. The South Korean tech giant said that the device is compatible with U.S. carriers to create a system where users can have two SIMs with one number.

LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition has 1.38 inches P-OLED Display, with 480 x 480 screen resolution at 348ppi. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, clocked at 1.2GHz, and runs under Android Wear (Cell-connected Version).

The smartwatch has 768MB of LPDDR3 RAM with 4GB of internal music storage. It features a 570mAh hexagonal battery that can last for more than a day, according to LG's director of product planning, Sungjin Lee, PCMag reported. Watch Urbane 2nd Edition supports Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi, LTE, and 3G.

It has six sensors: Accelerometer, Gyro, Compass, Barometer, PPG, and GPS. The device is definitely features dust and water resistance. Interested buyers can choose from four variants: Space Black, Opal Blue, Luxe White, and Signature Brown. The bands are made of durable hypoallergenic TPSiV elastomer.

The new LG smartwatch can work standalone without the need to be constantly connected to a smartphone, similar to LG Watch Urbane LTE, powered by LG proprietary operating system. It features LG Health and apps list, and provide quick access to shortcut settings such as contacts.

New LG smartwatch sells at around $300 to $400 range. The LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition will be introduced first in the U.S. and Korean markets, according to Ubergizmo. Europe, CIS, Asia and the Middle East will follow, with the announcement of availability.
