"Z Nation" season 2 episode 4 titled "Batch 47" aired on Oct. 2, Friday, on Syfy featuring Cassandra (Pisay Pao) and Murphy's (Keith Allan) mission to find the so-called herbal cure in the botanical labs.
In "Z Nation" season 2 episode 3 titled "Zombie Road," which aired on Sept. 25, viewers were introduced to the concept of a special brand of marijuana called Z Weed, which is grown using zombies for compost. The gang joined a convoy headed for Edmonton. The Heroes tracked down Murphy and encountered a wagon train caravan of survivors moving the nuclear blast victims to safety.
In "Z Nation" season 2 episode 4 "Batch 47," Murphy looked for an alternate vaccine for becoming a zombie in a special batch of Z Weed called Batch 47.
Anything can happen in the zombie apocalypse and the group of survivors has no time to process Mack's (Michael Welch) death. It appears that Addy (Anastasia Baranova), who is just as strong as ever, has not stopped to ponder the events that led to Mack's death.
Once again, Murphy and Cassandra have been separated from the group at the end of the "Z Nation" season 2 episode 4 "Batch 47." It appears that finding and smoking Z weed brings a little of the old Cassandra back while her relationship with Murphy is a little strange.
Still, Cassandra is entirely dependent on Murphy while Z weed seems to help her. The effects that Z weed has on zombies may be revealed in future episodes.
"Z Nation" season 2 episode 5 titled "Zoombaby!" will air on Syfy on Oct. 9.
