"Grimm" season 5 spoilers hinted that episode 1, titled "The Grimm Identity" will focus on how Nick (David Giuntoli) copes with the death of his mother Kelly (Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio) and lover Juliette (Bitsie Tulloch). Based on the official synopsis, Nick will try to do everything in his power to avenge their death.
Now that Nick has lost both his mother and Julienne he will reportedly pour all his attention on his and Adalind's (Claire Coffee) new baby. Although it is still yet to be confirmed if the two will eventually develop a romantic relationship along the way, some fans cannot help but remain hopeful.
In an interview with TV Line, executive producer David Greenwalt explained that Juliette is never coming back. The premiere episode will show Juliette's funeral with a devastated Nick by her side.
Greenwalt also shared that there will be a "lot of revenge" come season 5. Fans, however, can also expect a bit of humor on the side as Nick and Adalind try to adjust to their roles as new parents. The former will reportedly be very protective of the baby's welfare, thinking that s/he is all he has at the moment.
Adalind, on the other hand, will try her best to find a new job. She may have difficulty balancing her new role as a mother, but she will eventually land a great job as a lawyer. Recent reports suggest that the childbirth will be a very painful experience for her, indicating that there will be multiple complications along the way.
According to TV Insider, Nick will barely make it in time for the delivery. It was said that Adalind was almost killed during the operation.
