"Supernatural" Season 11 is set to premiere on Oct. 7, 2015 with highly anticipated Episode 1 titled "Out of the Darkness, Into the Fire." The season-opener will see Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) face their biggest challenge yet. "Supernatural" Season 11 picks up immediately after the events of Season 10 finale. Dean might finally be freed from the Mark of Cain, but trouble is far from over for the Winchester brothers. The Darkness is spreading fast in the world and its impact can already be felt.  

According to the synopsis (via Hypable) for "Supernatural" Season 11 premiere Episode 1 "Out of the Darkness, Into the Fire," the Winchester brothers tackle their "biggest threat ever"-Darkness.

Meanwhile, Crowley's fate will be revealed and Castiel continues to struggle with the effects of the spell Rowena cast on him. Castiel even recollects the events of his gruesome battle with Crowley while he was still under the effect of the curse.

A promo video for "Supernatural" Season 11 teases the events of Episode 1. It gives a glance at what Darkness has caused in the town. Expect no more than lots of blood and lifeless bodies. Meanwhile, Sam and Dean meet a badly wounded police officer, who asks the brothers to prove they are not "one of them." Scroll down to watch the video.

An extended trailer teases more blood, carnage and deaths after the release of Darkness. "What new hell has Dean Winchester unleashed upon the world?" Rowena asks in the promo.

Fans must watch out for Emilly Swallow's character Amara. She happens to be the human form of Darkness that aims to take over the planet. "Supernatural" fans can also expect to see the return of some old faces related to Sam and Dean's past.

Speaking to Zap2it, executive producer Robert Singer revealed what to expect from Episode 1 "Out of the Darkness, Into the Fire."

"That's what we're going to find out and that's what we deal with in the first episode. We identify the Darkness into certain extent and sort of set-up the template for the year," Robert Singer teased.

But there is more than one problem for Sam and Dean to deal with in "Supernatural" Season 11. Entertainment publication TV Line has teased what executive producer Jeremy Carver has revealed about forthcoming instalment. According to the EP, Rowena continues to be "very much a problem" for the brothers. With her newly acquired powers, she is expected to stir more trouble for the world.

"We'll be seeing her in the early parts of the season deciding what she wants to do with this newfound power, and you'll see what kind of success she has with that," the EP told.
