The Stephen A. Smith-Kevin Durant drama just had a turn for the worse as the American television and radio host fired back at the NBA superstar's comment questioning the credibility of his report that Durant is considering the Los Angeles Lakers as a possible destination if he leaves the Oklahoma City Thunder next summer.

Smith said in a 21-minute video posted by Bleacher Report that Durant was "the one that's lying" after the 2014 NBA Most Valuable Player, an award primarily given by the media who covers the league, accused him of "making up stories" with regards to the six-time All-Star's free-agency objectives.

"I don't talk to Stephen A. Smith at all. Nobody in my family, my friends, they don't talk to Stephen A. Smith. So he's lying," Durant told Oklahoman reported Anthony Slater. "I have people who I talk to about everything and I know for a fact they didn't talk to him, so he's making up stories."

Apparently, the veteran sports journalist was "incredibly offended" by Durant's seeming attack on his integrity and went on a full-length rant during Monday morning's First Take episode.

"I sit here today incredibly offended by the personal attack that this man has put against me," said the 47-year-old sports writer, as reported by TMZ. "I am a black man on national television with a big mouth and I will still stand up today here and I'll put my resume spanning 22 years plus up against anyone in this industry."

Smith ended the rant by addressing Durant with the words "you do not want to make an enemy out of me" twice.

It looks like this whole fuss is far from over as the world waits for Durant's response.
