The search engine giant said that they want rich content such as videos, graphics, and animations to work seamlessly along with smart ads and load instantaneously.

Google added that they want the program to work across multiple platforms so that the content will appear instantly, regardless of the mobile device being used.

The program is grounded on the new open framework AMP HTML which is built from existing technologies, allowing developers to build light-weight pages.

Android Police reports that Google has already tied up with 30 content publishers including Wordpress.com, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and more.

Google said that over the next few months they will work other potential partners to add more features to the program focusing on three main areas-content, distribution, and advertising.

When it comes to content, AMP will provide open source approach that will allow publishers to focus on content creation backed by high performance and excellent user experience. The technical specs and codes for this are provided by GitHub.

Regarding distribution, Google is providing a new caching platform that allows publishers to distribute content via Google's high-performing global cache. The company is offering their cache service to every one for free.

For advertising, Google assures that the AMP HTML will not change ad networks nor disrupt user experience. The aim of AMP is to support multiple ad formats, ad networks, and ad-related technologies.

Google hopes that Accelerated Mobile Pages will continue to protect the free flow of information as it ensures faster and better mobile web functionality for everyone.
